Aurora Capobianco is starting her PhD at the Theoretical Physics Institute (TPI) FSU Jena, Germany, in the team led by Prof. Sebastiano Bernuzzi. She will work on the project “MERLIN: Magnetic field dynamics in neutron stars”, funded by a Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft grant BE 6301/6-1.
She recently graduated from the University of Bath, UK, after completing her MPhys project on modelling supernova-induced processing of cosmic dust at the Nordic Institute of Theoretical Physics (NORDITA), Stockholm, Sweden. Her primary research interests concern magnetohydrodynamic turbulence and compact objects.
